হাওয়া লাগে গানের পালে–

মাঝি আমার, বোসো হালে॥

এবার ছাড়া পেলে বাঁচে,

জীবনতরী ঢেউয়ে নাচে

       এই
বাতাসের তালে তালে॥

দিন গিয়েছে, এল রাতি,

নাই কেহ মোর ঘাটের সাথি।

কাটো বাঁধন, দাও গো ছাড়ি–

তারার আলোয় দেব পাড়ি,

সুর জেগেছে যাবার কালে॥

Haawa laage gaaner paale -
Maajhi aamar, bosho haale.
Ebaar chhaara pele bnaache,
Jibon tori dheuyey naache
Ei baataser taale taale.
Din giyechhe, elo raati,
Naai keho mor ghaater saathi.
Kaato bnaadhon, daao go chhaari -
Taarar aaloy debo paari,
Sur jegechhe jaabar kaale.
