Kakhon badal chhoa

কখন  বাদল-ছোঁওয়া লেগে

    মাঠে মাঠে ঢাকে মাটি সবুজ মেঘে মেঘে॥

    ওই   ঘাসের ঘনঘোরে

ধরণীতল হল শীতল চিকন আভায় ভ’রে–

ওরা  হঠাৎ-গাওয়া গানের মতো এলো প্রাণের বেগে॥

ওরা যে এই প্রাণের রণে মরুজয়ের সেনা,

ওদের সাথে আমার প্রাণের প্রথম যুগের চেনা–

     তাই   এমন
গভীর স্বরে

     আমারি আঁখি নিল ডাকি ওদের
খেলঘরে–

ওদের   দোল দেখে আজ প্রাণে আমার দোলা ওঠে জেগে॥

Oi ghaaser ghanoghore
Dharonital holo shitol chikon aabhay bhore -
Ora hotthat-gaawa gaaner moto elo praaner bege.
Ora je ei praaner rane morujoyer sena,
Oder saathe aamar praaner prothom juger chena -
Taai emon gobhir sware
Aamar aankhi nilo daaki oder khelaghare -
Oder dol dhekhe aaj praane aamar dhola otthe jege.
