Tar hate chhilo hasir

তার হাতে ছিল হাসির ফুলের
হার   কত রঙে রঙ-করা।

     মোর সাথে ছিল দুখের ফলের
ভার   অশ্রুর রসে ভরা॥

       সহসা আসিল,
কহিল সে সুন্দরী   ‘এসো-না বদল করি’।

       মুখপানে
তার চাহিলাম, মরি মরি,    নিদয়া সে মনোহরা॥

     সে লইল মোর ভরা বাদলের
ডালা,   চাহিল সকৌতুকে।

     আমি লয়ে তার নবফাগুনের
মালা   তুলিয়া ধরিনু বুকে।

       ‘মোর হল
জয়’ যেতে যেতে কয় হেসে,   দূরে চলে গেল ত্বরা।

       সন্ধ্যায়
দেখি তপ্ত দিনের শেষে   ফুলগুলি সব ঝরা॥

Taar haate chhilo haasiro phulero haar kato range rang-kara.
Mor sathe chilo dukhero phaler bhaar asrur rase bhara.
Sahosa aasilo, kohilo se sundori 'esho-na badol kori'.
Mukhopane taar chaahilam, mori mori, nidoya se monohora.
Se loilo mor bhara badoler daala, chaahilo sakautuke.
Aami loye tar nabophaaguner maala tuliya dharinu buke.
'Mor holo joy' jete jete koy hese, dure chole galo twara.
Sondhaay dekhi tapto diner sheshe phulguli sob jhora.
