আমার অন্ধপ্রদীপ শূন্য-পানে চেয়ে আছে, সে যে লজ্জা জানায় ব্যর্থ রাতের তারার কাছে॥ ললাটে তার পড়ুক লিখা তোমার লিখন ওগো শিখা– বিজয়টিকা দাও গো এঁকে এই সে যাচে॥ হায় কাহার পথে বাহির হলে বিরহিণী! তোমার আলোক-ঋণে করো তুমি আমায় ঋণী। তোমার রাতে আমার রাতে এক আলোকের সূত্রে গাঁথে এমন ভাগ্য হায় গো আমার হারায় পাছে॥

Aamar andhoprodip shunyo-paane cheye aachhe, Se je lajja jaanay byartho raater taarar kaachhe. Lalate taar paruk likha Tomar likhan ogo shikha - Bijaytika daao go enke, ei se jaache. Haay kaahar pathe baahir hole, birohini. Tomar aalok-rine karo tumi aamay rini. Tomar raate aamar raate Ek aaloker sutre gnaathe Emon bhaagyo haay go aamar haaray paachhe.
