আমার    ভাঙা পথের রাঙা
ধুলায়   পড়েছে কার পায়ের চিহ্ন!

       তারি গলার
মালা হতে   পাপড়ি হোথা লুটায় ছিন্ন॥

       এল যখন
সাড়াটি নাই,   গেল চলে জানালো তাই–

       এমন ক’রে
আমারে হায়   কে বা কাঁদায় সে জন ভিন্ন॥

তখন     তরুণ ছিল অরুণ
আলো,  পথটি ছিল কুসুমকীর্ণ।

বসন্ত যে রঙিন বেশে   ধরায় সে দিন অবতীর্ণ।

       সে দিন খবর
মিলল না যে, রইনু বসে ঘরের মাঝে–

আজকে পথে বাহির হব    বহি আমার জীবন জীর্ণ॥

Taari galar maala hote    paapri hotha lutay chhino.
Elo jakhon saarati naai,    gelo chole jaanalo taai -
Emon kore aamare haay   ke ba knaaday se jan bhinno.
Takhon torun chilo orun aalo,    pothti chhilo kusumokirno.
Basonto je rongin beshe dharay sedin abotirno.
Se din khabor millo na je,   roinu bose ghorer maajhe -
Aajke pathe baahir habo bohi aamar jiban jirno.
