Amar pothe pothe pathor

আমার    পথে পথে পাথর ছড়ানো।

তাই তো তোমার বাণী বাজে ঝর্না-ঝরানো॥

     আমার বাঁশি তোমার
হাতে   ফুটোর পরে ফুটো তাতে–

তাই শুনি সুর এমন মধুর পরান-ভরানো॥

     তোমার হাওয়া যখন
জাগে     আমার পালে বাধা লাগে–

 এমন করে গায়ে প’ড়ে সাগর-তরানো।

     ছাড়া পেলে
একেবারে       রথ
কি তোমার চলতে পারে–

তোমার হাতে আমার ঘোড়া লাগাম-পরানো॥

Taai shuni sur emon modhur paran-bharano.
Tomar haawa jakhon jaage     aamar pale baadha laage -
Emon kore gaaye pore saagor-tarano.
Chhaara pele ekebare     rath ki tomar cholte pare -
Tomar haate aamar ghora laagam-parano.
