আপনি আমার কোন্খানে

 বেড়াই তারি সন্ধানে॥

       নানান রূপে
নানান বেশে   ফেরে যেজন ছায়ার দেশে

       তার পরিচয়
কেঁদে হেসে শেষ হবে কি, কে জানে॥

আমার গানের গহন-মাঝে শুনেছিলেম যার ভাষা

খুঁজে না পাই তার বাসা।

       বেলা কখন
যায় গো বয়ে,  আলো আসে মলিন হয়ে–

       পথের বাঁশি
যায় কী কয়ে বিকালবেলার মূলতানে॥

Aapni aamar konkhaane
Berai taari sandhane.
Naanan rupe naanan bese   phere jejon chhaayer deshe
Taar porichoy knede hese shesh hobe ki, ke jaane.
Aamar gaaner gahon-maajhe shunechhilem jaar bhaasa
Khnuje naa paai taar baasa.
Bela kakhon jaay go boye, aalo aase molin hoye -
Pather bnaashi jaay ki koye   bikalbelar multane.
