Baje korun sure

বাজে করুণ সুরে     হায় দূরে

তব চরণতলচুম্বিত পন্থবীণা।

এ মম পান্থচিত চঞ্চল

জানি না কী উদ্দেশে॥

যূথীগন্ধ অশান্ত সমীরে

ধায় উতলা উচ্ছাসে,

তেমনি চিত্ত উদাসী রে

                নিদারুণ
বিচ্ছেদের নিশীথে॥
