         এই-যে  কালো মাটির  বাসা শ্যামল  সুখের ধরা–

           এইখানেতে  আঁধার-আলোয়  স্বপন-মাঝে  চরা॥

           এরই  গোপন হৃদয়-’পরে   ব্যথার স্বর্গ বিরাজ  করে

                     দুঃখে-আলো-করা॥

           বিরহী  তোর সেইখানে  যে একলা বসে  থাকে–

           হৃদয়  তাহার ক্ষণে  ক্ষণে নামটি  তোমার ডাকে।

           দুঃখে  যখন মিলন হবে  আনন্দলোক  মিলবে তবে

                     সুধায়-সুধায়-ভরা॥

Ei je kaalo maatir baasa shyamal sukher dhara -
Eikhanete aandhar-aaloy swapon-maajhe chara.
Er-i gopan hriday-pore   byathaar swargo biraj kore
Dukkhe-aalo-kara.
Birohi tor seikhane je ekla bose thaake -
Hriday taahar khane khane naamti tomar daake.
Dukkhe jakhon milon hobe   aanondolok milbe tobe
Sudhaay-sudhaay-bhora.
