Graamchhaara oi raanga maatir path Aamar mon bhulay re. Ore kaar paane mon haat baariye Lutiye jaay dhulay re. O je aamay ghorer baahir kore, Paaye paaye paaye dhore - O je kere aamay niye jaay re Jaay re kon chulay re. O je kon bnaake ki dhan dekhabe, Konkhane ki daay tthekabe - Kothay giye shesh mele je Bhebei na kulay re.

MY KING'S road that lies still before my house makes my heart wistful. It stretches its beckoning hand towards me; its silence calls me out of my home; with dumb entreaties it kisses my feet at every step. It leads me on I know not to what abandonment, to what sudden gain or surprises of distress. I know not where its windings end- But my King's road that lies still before my house makes my heart wistful.

गांव पार ये गेरू माटि बाट, ओहो हो मेरा मन भरमाये ओजी किस ओरी जिया हात पसारे रे भुंइ पे लोटे धूरी पे मेरा मन भरमाये ॥ वही तो मुझको घर से बाहर लाये रे, पाँव पाँव पाँव छुकर हो अहा लाज से मरे वो जी बरजोरी मुझे लेता जाये रे झोंक दे किसि भाड़ में मेरा मन भरमाये वो जी कहिं बाँक पे क्या धन दरसाये कहां ले जाकर मुझे फसा दे रे जा कर कहां अंत होये डगर जिया सोच न पाये मेरा मन भरमाये ॥
