কেন রে এতই যাবার ত্বরা–

বসন্ত, তোর হয়েছে কি ভোর  গানের ভরা॥

এখনি মাধবী  ফুরালো কি সবই,

বনছায়া গায় শেষ ভৈরবী–

নিল কি বিদায় শিথিল করবী  বৃন্তঝরা॥

এখনি তোমার পীত উত্তরী  দিবে কি ফেলে

তপ্ত দিনের শুষ্ক তৃণের  আসন মেলে।

বিদায়ের পথে হতাশ বকুল

কপোতকূজনে হল যে আকুল,

চরণপূজনে ঝরাইছে ফুল  বসুন্ধরা॥

Basonto, tor hoyechhe ki bhor   gaaner bhara.
Ekhoni maadohbi phurolo ki sabi,
Bonochhaya gaay shesh bhoirobi -
Nilo ki biday sithilo karobi   brintojhara.
Ekhoni tomar pito uttori    dibe ki phele
Tapto diner shushko triner aasan mele
Bidaayer pathe hatas bokul
Kapotokujane holo je aakul,
Charonopujane jhoraichhe phul    bosundhara.
