মরি  লো
মরি,   আমায়   বাঁশিতে ডেকেছে কে॥

ভেবেছিলেম ঘরে রব, কোথাও যাব না–

ওই-যে   বাহিরে বাজিল, বলো কী করি॥

শুনেছি কোন্ কুঞ্জবনে যমুনাতীরে

সাঁঝের বেলায় বাজে বাঁশি ধীর সমীরে–

      ওগো, তোরা জানিস
যদি   আমায়   পথ বলে দে॥

দেখি গে তার মুখের হাসি,

তারে     ফুলের মালা পরিয়ে আসি,

তারে     বলে আসি ‘তোমার বাঁশি

আমার     প্রাণে বেজেছে’॥

Bhebechilem ghare rabo, kothao jaabo na -
Oi-je baahire baajilo bnaashi, bolo ki kori.
Shunechhi kon kunjobone jomunatire
Snaajher belay baaje bnaashi dhir somire -
Ogo, tora jaanis jodi aamay path bole de.
Dekhi ge taar mukher haasi,
Taare phuler maala poriye aasi,
Taare bole aasi 'Tomar bnaashi
Aamar praane bejechhe'.
