শূন্যে বাজায় ঘন ঘন হাওয়ায় হাওয়ায় সন সন
সাপ খেলাবার বাঁশি॥
সহসা তাই কোথা হতে কুলু কুলু কলস্রোতে
দিকে দিকে জলের ধারা ছুটেছে উল্লাসী॥
আজ দিগন্তে ঘন ঘন গভীর গুরু গুরু ডমরুরব হয়েছে ওই শুরু।
তাই শুনে আজ গগনতলে পলে পলে দলে
দলে
অগ্নিবরন নাগ নাগিনী ছুটেছে উদাসী॥ Transliteration

Taai shune aaj gagontale pale pale dale dale Ognibaron naag nagini chhutechhe udaasi.

An outlander across the eastern ocean - Comes and along the blowing crosswind, Fiddles his snake-charmers' flute skywards. Suddenly with delightful sound hence Water gushes from nowhere Streaming at all sides, exuberant. High up the horizon roaring sets in, Intermittent rattling of the DAMRU is on. Every moment across the sky thus Blazing snakes, depressed, run amok.
