তোর প্রাণের রস তো শুকিয়ে গেল ওরে। তবে মরণরসে নে পেয়ালা ভরে॥ সে যে চিতার আগুন গালিয়ে ঢালা, সব জ্বলনের মেটায় জ্বালা– সব শূন্যকে সে অট্টহেসে দেয় যে রঙিন করে॥ তোর সূর্য ছিল গহন মেঘের মাঝে, তোর দিন মরেছে অকাজেরই কাজে। তবে আসুক-না সেই তিমির-রাতি লুপ্তিনেশার চরম সাথি– তোর ক্লান্ত আঁখি দিক সে ঢাকি দিক্-ভোলাবার ঘোরে॥

Tor praaner ras to sukiye gelo ore. Tabe maron rase ne peyala bhore. Se je chitar aagun gaaliya dhaala Sab jaloner metay jaala - Sab sunyoke se attohese dey se rangin kore. Tor surja chhilo gahon megher maajhe, Tor din morechhe akajeri kaaje. Tabe aasuk na sei timir raati luptineshar charam saathi - Tor klaanto aankhi dik se dhaaki dik-bholabar ghore.
