Tumi amay dekechhile

তুমি আমায়
ডেকেছিলে ছুটির নিমন্ত্রণে,

       তখন ছিলেম
বহু দূরে কিসের অন্বেষণে॥

কূলে যখন এলেম ফিরে   তখন অস্তশিখরশিরে

চাইল রবি শেষ চাওয়া তার কনকচাঁপার বনে।

আমার ছুটি ফুরিয়ে গেছে কখন অন্যমনে॥

       লিখন তোমার
বিনিসুতোর শিউলিফুলের মালা,

       বাণী সে
তার সোনায়-ছোঁওয়া অরুণ-আলোয়-ঢালা–

এল আমার ক্লান্ত হাতে   ফুল-ঝরানো শীতের রাতে

কুহেলিকায় মন্থর কোন্ মৌন সমীরণে।

তখন ছুটি ফুরিয়ে গেছে কখন অন্যমনে॥

Tokhon chhile bahu dure kiser anweshane.
Kule jakhan elem phire takhan astoshikhar shire
Chaailo robi shesh chaawa taar kanak chnaapar bone.
Aamar chhuti phuriye gechhe kakhan onyomone.
Likhon tomar binisutor shiuli phulermaala,
Baani je taar sonay-chnowa oruno aaloy dhaala –
Elo aamar klaanto haate phul jhorano shiter raate
Kuhelikay montharo kon mouna samirone
Takhon chhuti phuriye gechhe kakhan onyomone.
