Basanta se jay

বসন্ত সে যায় যে হেসে, যাবার
কালে

     শেষ কুসুমের পরশ রাখে বনের ভালে
॥

       তেমনি তুমি
যাবে জানি,   সঙ্গে যাবে হাসিখানি–

অলক হতে পড়বে অশোক বিদায়-থালে॥

     রইব একা ভাসন-খেলার নদীর তটে,

     বেদনাহীন মুখের ছবি স্মৃতির পটে–

অবসানের অস্ত-আলো   তোমার সাথি, সেই তো ভালো–

ছায়া সে থাক্ মিলনশেষের অন্তরালে॥

Temni tumi jaabe jaani,    songe jaabe haasikhani -
Aalok hote porbe ashok biday-thaale
Roibo eka bhaasan-khelar nodir tote,

Abosaner asto-aalo   tomar saathi,   sei to bhaalo -
Chhaaya se thaak milanshesher antorale.
