প্রভু, এলেম কোথায়!
কখন বরষ গেল, জীবন বহে গেল–
কখন
কী-যে হল জানি নে হায়।
আসিলাম কোথা হতে, যেতেছি কোন্ পথে
ভাসিয়ে কালস্রোতে তৃণের প্রায়।
মরণসাগর-পানে চলেছি প্রতিক্ষণ,
তবুও দিবানিশি মোহেতে অচেতন।
এ জীবন অবহেলে আঁধারে
দিনু ফেলে–
কত-কী গেল চলে, কত-কী যায়।
শোকে তাপে জরজর অসহ যাতনায়
শুকায়ে গেছে প্রেম, হৃদয় মরুপ্রায়।
কাঁদিয়ে হলেম সারা, হয়েছি দিশাহারা–
কোথা গো ধ্রুবতারা কোথা গো হায়॥ প্রতিবর্ণীকরণ
