Akashe dui hate prem

আকাশে    দুই হাতে প্রেম বিলায় ও কে!

সে সুধা    ছড়িয়ে গেল লোকে লোকে॥

গাছেরা     ভরে নিল সবুজ পাতায়,

ধরণী       ধরে
নিল আপন মাথায়।

ছেলেরা      সকল গায়ে নিল
মেখে,

পাখিরা      পাখায় পাখায়
নিল এঁকে।

ছেলেরা     কুড়িয়ে নিল মায়ের বুকে,

মায়েরা      দেখে নিল ছেলের
মুখে।

সে যে ওই   দুঃখশিখায় উঠল জ্বলে,

সে যে ওই   অশ্রুধারায় পড়ল গলে॥

সে যে ওই   বিদীর্ণ বীর-হৃদয় হতে

বহিল
মরণরূপী জীবনস্রোতে।

সে যে ওই   ভাঙাগড়ার তালে তালে

নেচে যায়    দেশে দেশে কালে কালে॥

Gaachhera  bhore nilo sabuj paatay,
Dharoni   dhore nilo aapon maathay.
Chhelera   sakal gaaye nilo mekhe,
Paakhira   paakhay paakhay nilo enke.
Chhelera  kuriye nilo maayer buke,
Maayera   dekhe nilo chheler mukhe.
Se je oi   dukkhoshikhay utthlo jwole,
Se je oi   oshrudhaaray porlo gole.
Se je oi   bidirno bir-hridoy hote
Bohilo     maronrupi jibansrote.
Se je oi   bhaangagarar taale taale
Neche jaay   deshe deshe kaale kaale.
