সখী, ছেলেবেলা হতে    সংসারের পথে পথে

মিথ্যা মরীচিকা লয়ে যেপেছি সময়।

পারি নে, পারি নে আর– এসেছি তোমারি দ্বার–

একবার বলো, সখী, দিবে কি আশ্রয়।

সহেছি ছলনা এত, ভয় হয় তাই

সত্যকার সুখ বুঝি এ কপালে নাই।

বহুদিন ঘুমঘোরে      ডুবায়ে
রাখিয়া মোরে

অবশেষে জাগায়ো না নিদারুণ ঘায়।

ভালোবেসে থাকো যদি    লও লও এই হৃদি–

ভগ্ন চূর্ণ দগ্ধ এই হৃদয় আমার

এ হৃদয় চাও যদি লও উপহার॥

Ekbar balo sokhi, bhaalobaso more -
Rekho na pheliya aar sandeher ghore.
Sokhi, chhelebela hote    songsarer pathe pathe
Mithya morichika loye jepechhi samay.
Paari ne paari ne aar -   esechhi tomar dwaar -
Ekbar balo, sokhi, dibe ki aashroy.
Sohechhi chhalona eto, bhoy hoy taai
Sotyokaar sukh bujhi e kapale naai.
Bohudin ghumoghore   dubaye raakhiya more
Abosheshe jaagayo na nidarun ghaay.
Bhaalobese thaako jodi lawo lawo ei hridi -
Bhagno churno daghdo ei hriday aamar
E hridoy chaao jodi lawo upohaar.
