বিজন ঘরের কোণে,   এসো গো।

     নামিল শ্রাবণসন্ধ্যা, কালো ছায়া
ঘনায় বনে বনে॥

আনো বিস্ময় মম নিভৃত প্রতীক্ষায়   যূথীমালিকার মৃদু
গন্ধে –

নীলবসন-অঞ্চল-ছায়া

সুখরজনী-সম মেলুক মনে॥

হারিয়ে গেছে মোর বাঁশি,

আমি   কোন্ সুরে ডাকি তোমারে।

পথ-চেয়ে-থাকা মোর দৃষ্টিখানি

শুনিতে পাও কি তাহার বাণী–

কম্পিত বক্ষের পরশ মেলে কি সজল সমীরণে॥

Bijano gharer kone, eso go.
Naamilo shrabonosondhya, kaalo chhaaya ghanay bone bone.
Aano bismayo mamo nibhrito protikhaay juthimaalikar mridu gandhe -
Nilobasono-aanchalo-chhaaya
Sukhorajoni-samo meluko mone.
Haariye gechhe mor bnaashi,
Aami kon sure daaki tomare.
Pathe cheye thaaka mor dristikhaani
Shunite paao ki taahar baani -
Kompito bokkher parosho mele ki sajolo somirane.
