Ke bole jao jao

কে বলে ‘যাও যাও’–
আমার  যাওয়া তো নয় যাওয়া।

টুটবে আগল বারে বারে  তোমার দ্বারে,

     লাগবে আমায় ফিরে ফিরে  ফিরে-আসার
হাওয়া॥

ভাসাও আমায় ভাঁটার টানে    অকূল-পানে,

     আবার  জোয়ার-জলে তীরের
তলে  ফিরে তরী বাওয়া॥

পথিক আমি, পথেই বাসা–

আমার   যেমন যাওয়া তেমনি আসা।

ভোরের আলোয় আমার তারা

হোক-না হারা,

     আবার
জ্বলবে সাঁজে আঁধার-মাঝে তারি নীরব চাওয়া॥

Bhaasao aamay bhnaatar taane    akul-paane,
Aabar     jowar-jale tirer tale    phire tori baawa.
Pothik aami, pathei basa -
Aamar jemon jaawa temni aasa.
Bhorer aaloy aamar taara
Hok-na haara.
Aabar    jwolbe snaajhe aandhar-maajhe taari nirab chaawa.
