কোন্   খেপা শ্রাবণ ছুটে এল আশ্বিনেরই আঙিনায়।

দুলিয়ে জটা ঘনঘটা পাগল হাওয়ার গান সে গায়॥

মাঠে মাঠে পুলক লাগে   ছয়ানটের নৃত্যরাগে,

শরৎ-রবির সোনার আলো উদাস হয়ে মিলিয়ে যায়॥

     কী কথা সে বলতে এল ভরা ক্ষেতের
কানে কানে।

   লুটিয়ে-পড়া কিসের কাঁদন উঠেছে আজ নবীন ধানে।

     মেঘে অধীর আকাশ
কেন   ডানা-মেলা গরুড় যেন–

পথ-ভোলা এই পথিক এসে পথের বেদন আনল ধরায়॥

Maathe maathe pulok jaage    chhaayanater nrityoraage,
Sharot robir sonar aalo udaas hoye miliye jaay.
Ki kotha se bolte elo bhora kheter kaane kaane
Lutiye pora kiser knaadon utthechhe aaj nobin dhaane.
Meghe aadhir aakash keno   daana mela gorur jeno -
Path bhola ek pothik ese pather bedon aanlo dhoray.
