Ora akarane chanchal

ওরা     অকারণে চঞ্চল।

     ডালে ডালে
দোলে বায়ুহিল্লোলে   নব পল্লবদল॥

 ছড়ায়ে ছড়ায়ে ঝিকিমিকি আলো

দিকে দিকে ওরা কী খেলা খেলালো,

    মর্মরতানে প্রাণে ওরা আনে কৈশোরকোলাহল॥

 ওরা   কান পেতে
শোনে     গগনে গগনে

নীরবের কানাকানি,

নীলিমার কোন্ বাণী।

 ওরা   প্রাণঝরনার উচ্ছল
ধার,   ঝরিয়া ঝরিয়া বহে অনিবার,

     চির তাপসিনী ধরণীর ওরা
শ্যামশিখা হোমানল॥

Transliteration

Ora akarone chanchal.
Daale daale dole baayuhillole nabo pallobodal.
Chharaaye chharaaye jhikimiki aalo
Dike dike ora ki khela khelalo,
Marmarotaane praane ora aane koishorokolahal.
Ora kaan pete shone gagone gagone
Nirabero kaanakaani,
Nilimaro kon baani.
Ora    praanojharonaar uchhalo dhaar, jhariya jhariya bohe anibaar,
Chiro taposini dharonir ora shyamoshikha homanal.

They are busy just for nothing.
Young twigs on the branches rock with the brisk movement of air.
 Playful spirit they seem to throw around like specks of light,
     Their murmuring melodies arouse the rejuvenated soul.
     They keenly listen to the silent whispers of the sky,
                  The lyrics of the blue
        They are the vigorous flow of the spirit,
                 That flows relentlessly.
   They are the most radiant and holy elements of the earth.
